Amazing new Porsche muesum opens January 31

New Porsche Museum

When I was stationed in Stuttgart, Germany for Ricardo several years ago, the train taking me to work every day would pass the Porsche headquarters in Zuffenhausen. I would sit in the car that stopped right in front of the factory so that I could peer at the 911 body shells moving in the second floor of the factory. Of course, I visited the Porsche museum one day and was disappointed by how small it was.

That has changed now. In 9 days, Porsche will open the doors to its gorgeous-looking new museum designed by Austrian firm Delugan Meissl (interestingly enough, BMW's new museum/product showcase center was also designed by an Austrian firm).

The building seems to reflect Porsche’s corporate confidence, itself rooted in the strong financial position that has allowed them to swallow the majority of Volkswagen. For more pictures, click here.
