WOW! Jaguar is the most dependable nameplate

Jaguar used to be synonymous with ‘spends its life at the mechanic’s’. So shock of shocks, in the 2009 JD Power & Associates Vehicle Dependability Study, Jaguar (along with Buick) dethrones Lexus as the most dependable nameplate. Toyota and Mercury round out the Top 5.

Jaguar being noted for reliability is as strange as Lindsay Lohan becoming a nun, which means that the magical but oft-troubled English brand should be grateful to its former parent Ford for the billions of dollars of investment during the years it owned Jaguar. Let us see how Jaguar does under its new Indian owners.

Perhaps not surprisingly, Toyota/Lexus dominate the segment awards. For more, see here.
