Sensational GTbyCitroën supercar may actually be built

Once upon a time, Citroën was the most innovative car company on earth. But that was a long time ago. Over the past few decades, Citroën has been relegated to making mostly generic small cars with none of the bravado that used to make the marque stand out.

This is precisely why the news of the GTbyCitroën, a supercar that was previously just a virtual car made for the computer game Gran Tourismo 5, driving around the streets of London is so remarkable. When was the last time you heard the words Citroën and supercar uttered in the same sentence?!

It seems as though the French maker is teasing the public and hinting that it might actually make this beast. There is talk of the car being powered by an American-sourced V8, which makes sense given that Citroën is better at making dinky 1.9L diesels than real performance engines.
