VIDEO: Stelvio Pass in the dark - without headlights!

Would you drive down the world’s best, most dramatic road, the famous Stelvio Pass,  without headlights at night? Well, to showcase the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class’ Night View Assist Plus Technology, MotorTrend did just that.

Of course, you never want to do something this mad under normal circumstances. The Night View Assist is designed to highlight children and animals that may suddenly jump out in front of you in the dark. However, as you can see in the video, the infrared technology works well enough to guide the MotorTrend editor safely down the treacherous pass.
