[w/VIDEO] New Volvo C70 shows Volvo's new design direction

This is the new, hard-top convertible Volvo C70, a car that embodies Volvo's new 'design language.' Taking its cues from the S60 concept unveiled earlier this year, the new C70 has a more aggressive front end that adds more emotion to generally-staid Volvo designs. The rear of car also gets a complete overhaul, replete with LED lights. Volvo claims that the interior of the car benefits from higher quality materials that create a more luxurious feel.

The T5 tops the range with a turbocharged 2.3L five-cylinder engine producing 220 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. These figures give the new C70 a 0-60 mph time of 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 150mph. Not amazing, but decent numbers for a handsome Volvo.
