VIDEO: 2011 BMW M5 being flogged around the Nürburgring

We recently reported that the next generation BMW M5, due in 2011, will lose its fantastic, free-revving V10 in favor of a twin-turbo V8. Gone will be that signature V10 howl, to be replaced by the unmistakable turbo whistle that you will be able to hear in this spy video if you listen carefully.

As we mentioned before, the twin-turbo powerplant promises more power than the outgoing V10's 500 hp and undoubtedly, much more torque. So while we will miss the aural beauty of the current M5, we are looking forward to the performance figures of its more beefy replacement.
