Williams F1 confirms Barichello and Hulkenberg for 2010

On the heels of the unbelievable F1 season we have all witnessed, Williams has announced a complete driver lineup change for 2010. In a perfectly complementary matchup, veteran driver Rubens Barichello will be paired with 22-year old phenom Niko Hulkenberg. 37 year-old Barichello, whose career was left for dead with Honda's sudden pullout two weeks before the season began, resurrected his future with a stellar, almost fairy-tale season with Brawn. With 288 Gran Prix starts, Barichello is the field's most experienced driver.

"Rubens needs no introduction," said Frank Williams. "He is not only the most experienced driver in Formula 1, but a passionate and talented driver who fought hard for the drivers’ championship this year."

Hulkenberg, who is good enough to have caught the attention of a certain Michael Schumacher, has been serving as a Williams test driver since 2008. In the meantime, the the 22-year-old has won the GP2 championship - in his debut season, adding to a list of accomplishments that include winning in the German Formula BMW, A1GP (for Team Germany) and the Formula 3 Euro Series.

As for current drivers Nico Rosberg and Kazuki Nakajima, Rosberg is slated to move to either Brawn or McLaren, while unimpressive Nakajima is most definitely at the end of his brief F1 career.
